The main challenge of this residence was to develop a turnkey interior design project within an exceptionally short timeframe, preserving the home’s existing structure and architectural details while introducing furniture that would integrate seamlessly into each space. The objective was to create a contemporary environment with a modern character, expressed primarily through its art collection.

Our involvement focused on the interior design of the 752 m² residence, comprising an entrance hall, living room, dining room, bar, kitchen, study, family room, four bedrooms, and terrace.

Completed in just two weeks, the design draws from two distinct influences: contemporary furniture and the distinctive character of the 1970s. Classic woodwork and the intricate marquetry found on the living room ceilings and walls create an eclectic and playful atmosphere, while rock-inspired artwork from the 1970s becomes a defining visual accent.

A strong connection between people and nature guided the color palette and material selection. The greenery of the exterior was brought indoors through elements such as the dining chairs, creating a fresh and refined environment that contrasts with the warmth of the wood flooring and the Grigio Carnico marble dining table.

Decorative objects were carefully curated to complement the architecture and furniture. Highlights include Tom Dixon’s statement lighting in the living room, Contardi’s circular floor lamps illuminating the main terrace, and Fernando Diaz’s blue Leviatan sculpture displayed on a Timothy Oulton pedestal. The art collection, featuring iconic modern imagery of David Bowie in the living room and Kate Moss in the dining area, further reinforces the home’s contemporary yet nostalgic character.

The primary bedroom combines a Benetti Casa bed by Misura Emme with Blu Dot’s Daybench and Deep Thoughts Leather chaise, introducing a fresh, sophisticated and subtly masculine atmosphere.

The result is a cohesive and highly personal interior that successfully merges contemporary design with 1970s influences, creating a distinctive environment tailored to the client’s lifestyle and vision.
