LONGQUANYI SHUM YIP AUTO CITY

As the nation’s first professional marketplace themed around new energy vehicles, the project fully embodies the architectural characteristics of an “automobile city”. It is positioned as a new landmark and signature development for the automotive industry in Longquanyi District, creating an integrated automobile-themed exhibition and sales complex. The project aspires to become the premier platform for new car launches in Southwest China. The Auto City Mall is located on the northern plot, adjacent to major urban roads and intersections, offering excellent visibility and independence for operations. Office and street-level commercial spaces occupy the southern plot, establishing spatial interaction with the Auto City Mall and creating a dynamic urban interface with a cohesive cluster of public buildings.



The concept of Auto City is envisioned as an “urban showroom and stage for automobiles”. The architectural form is inspired by the legendary Nürburgring racetrack, using architectural language to convey passion, enthusiasm, and speed. Expressive volumes and a strong interplay of solid and void elements create an image infused with motion, vitality, technology, and futurism. To ensure safety and durability, the façade incorporates protective glass meeting the highest product standards, while doors, windows, and shading products adhere to premium-grade specifications. Parking structures are finished with durable materials such as stone-texture coatings. Throughout all stages of planning and design, BIM technology was applied to achieve high levels of modeling precision and technical sophistication.



The project is designed to drive regional economic growth. It integrates diverse functions including corporate offices, vibrant retail, branded automotive sales, and residential facilities, attracting numerous enterprises and businesses to form a diversified industrial ecosystem. As a specialized marketplace for automotive sales, it also provides a robust platform to support the upgrade of the local automotive industry.
