With an interior spanning approximately 660 square meters, the residence is tailored for a family of five across two generations. The design centers on the concept of “a unified core expanding outward,” breaking away from conventional compartmentalized layouts. The living room, dining area, and corridors are integrated into a central “stage” for family life, from which independent living zones for parents and children extend to either side.
In terms of materials, the design carefully balances the parents’ preference for a calm modern style with the younger generation’s inclination toward an industrial aesthetic. Through subtle transitions in materials and circulation, differing aesthetic preferences coexist naturally under one roof.
The living room’s focal point is a marble TV wall paired with a modern ethanol fireplace, where flames gently flicker against the stone texture, becoming a visual anchor that brings the family together. The open-plan kitchen and dining area are connected by a long island leading to a round dining table, allowing cooking, dining, and interaction to merge seamlessly.
As daylight enters from three sides, light and daily life unfold gradually throughout the space, shaping a residence that carries both the emotional bonds of the family and the rhythm of everyday living.
