Set in a quiet village in Xiangshan, this project explores the idea of “observing the vast through the tiny.” Inspired by the structure of trees and the behavior of insects, I designed a museum that simulates the experience of being shrunk 100 times, allowing visitors to step into the sensory world of insects. The architecture guides people through spaces that echo how insects see, hear, feel, and smell the world—through textured surfaces, filtered light, amplified sounds, and scent trails. Rather than displaying insects from a distance, the museum brings their environment to life at a scale humans can inhabit.
This immersive experience invites visitors to reconnect with nature by paying close attention to the unseen and the overlooked.
