"Sparks of joy" describes a sudden, intense emotion—an outburst of vivid feelings that slowly subside, whether in the instant of witnessing radiant sunlight or the momentary awe of crashing waves. The designer skillfully infused this indescribable grandeur into the interior. Points, lines, and planes create a rich interplay of light and shadow, and as the sunlight shifts throughout the day, the gradient of light on the walls mirrors the unique romance of ocean waves.
There are three hidden doors in the residence, located at the entryway, kitchen, and the transition between social and private areas. The designer aimed to unify the space as a cohesive unit while creating highlights for each area. The entryway serves as a transitional zone between the indoors and outdoors. Arch lamps are strategically placed on the ceiling, where the light gradually ascends, casting a gentle moonlit impression, reminiscent of gazing up at the night sky from a sea dike. The glass door blurs the appearance of the living room, and behind the hidden door lies a large expanse of stone-patterned wall. The crisscrossing lines mimic the layered essence of mountains and seas, echoing the contours of mountain shadows and the sound of the sea. Through the design of these hidden doors, the designer crafts a return-to-nature experience for the inhabitants.
Pushing open the textured door leads to the private area, a realm of tranquility and serenity, returning to a state of calm. The master bedroom extends the natural ambiance, with gray hues and leather accents that evoke the intimate romance of the night sky.
