The project draws inspiration from the ocean, with the designer using the theme of "flying fish" to seamlessly incorporate the imagery of fish into the chandelier design. The details reflect a unique fusion of Taiwanese elements and Mediterranean charm, showcasing a distinctive blend of aesthetics. The design not only creates a visually stunning and functional living space but also maximizes the sense of openness through high ceilings and a light-toned color palette. Every inch of the limited space is utilized to perfection, resulting in a harmonious and open look.
• Living Room Chandelier:
The chandelier is inspired by the imagery of a school of flying fish. Featuring a suspended design, the glass elements are intricately crafted to mimic the dynamic beauty of fish swimming through the ocean, shifting the traditional perspective of looking down at fish to a more elevated viewpoint. The chandelier serves as a thematic point, adding visual interest to the space. Through the interplay of light and shadow, it enhances the three-dimensionality of the high ceilings, alleviating any sense of confinement in the limited space and creating a flowing, vibrant ambiance.
• Duplex Glass Railing:
The staircase leading to the second floor is another standout feature. Originally, the space lacked a staircase structure. After careful planning, it now efficiently utilizes the vertical axes, expanding the original layout from two rooms into an open-plan area accommodating four people. The staircase curves gracefully upward, with the second-floor railing featuring glass paired with shell embellishments, elegantly embodying oceanic elements. This design maintains visual continuity while reinforcing the overall theme with refined details. The glass allows natural light to pass through, and the shell accents add a delicate texture, imbuing the duplex structure with a light and sophisticated aesthetic.
