This project is located in Chongren Ancient Town, Shengzhou City, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. The ancient town has a history of more than 1700 years and preserves this large group of ancient buildings, with the style of the Song Dynasty and the characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Temple, ancestral temple, ancient stage, folk house, memorial archway, pharmacy, shop, bridge, pond and well are all available in the group. Centered around the Yushan Temple, there are over 100 well preserved old platform gates, which are connected by cross street buildings. They are both perfectly integrated and independent, reflecting the legacy of our ancestors' tradition of "dividing households and clans, gathering only one family". As a semi residential and semi commercial regional module that integrates tourism and indigenous peoples, the function of the post station should not only meet the convenience of indigenous peoples' daily life and affairs, but also take into account the factors that tourists come here to visit. The original site of this building was the Agricultural Power Management Bureau of Chongren Town, the site of the first generator in Shengzhou City, preserving the historical characteristics and electrical elements of the original site. This design is based on the principle of preserving the original characteristic elements, with the structure of the platform gate as the design foundation, and the two ancient wells as the design support points for expansion. The overall form is interlocked in two "U" shapes, forming a relatively stable architectural form. This architectural design does not pursue exaggerated shapes and cutting-edge materials or high-end craftsmanship, but rather shapes its identity through the integration of surrounding ancient buildings. It responds to its locality through traditional building materials and construction techniques of ancient buildings, and introduces nature and the daily life of indigenous people into it with a highly open degree, creating a multifunctional public building in the countryside.
