Vertical Basketball Park

Design Inspiration:

The former site of Taipei Grand Theater was abandoned for years due to specific reasons, gradually turning into ruins over time. However, with the rise of American Street and the Movie Theme Park in the surrounding area of Ximending, the neighborhood has been revitalized. In contrast, the dilapidated appearance of this building has become increasingly out of place, negatively impacting the overall visual appeal.

Design Theme:

Building upon the original cultural features of the surroundings and the architecture (such as greenery and spray-paint art), basketball culture elements are integrated to create a basketball-themed vertical park. This space serves as a cultural exchange platform for sports and basketball enthusiasts, aiming to integrate and guide diverse cultures and resources while fostering a clear and organized interactive environment. Through this design, the goal is to further encourage direct interaction and creative expression among young people
