Zhoushan, a renowned cultural city on the eastern coast of China, has given birth to the Sales Center of Zhoushan Jiaokong · Chenlu—a high-end space that seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics and modern style. The project, themed around “Fusion · Harmony · Lotus” (the three share the same pronunciation in Chinese), embraces the concept of “Reviving the Song culture”, aiming to offer high-net-worth individuals who pursue refined living and good taste a feast for both the eyes and the soul.
The sales center ingeniously integrates the Song aesthetics—characterized by simplicity, elegance, and nature—into modern design. Its meticulously crafted spatial layout, complemented by the application of “Liu Bai” (to leave blankness), creates a tranquil and harmonious atmosphere that transports audiences into the refined world of the Song literati. Cultural elements such as calligraphy works, paintings, and porcelains are subtly incorporated to enrich the space with cultural significance and artistic charm. In terms of color & material selection, the understated, restrained project adopts dark brown wooden furniture paired with natural fabrics like linen and cotton, adding a plain yet elegant aesthetic. Decorative pieces take black, white, and gray as main colors, accented with red or gold, not only embodying the essence of the Song aesthetics but also catering to modern taste.
To highlight Zhoushan as its location, the sales center skillfully marries ocean elements (conch, fish, etc.) with modern design language, celebrating local identity while meeting modern aesthetic needs. Furthermore, the project prioritizes functionality alongside aesthetics. It cleverly employs partitions to create a multipurpose space, ensuring improved practicality and comfort.
