This project is a cultural and arts center located by the sea on Long Island, New York. The design inspiration draws from the shell of the seashore, with the structure creating a dynamic and harmonious form. The entire building stands like a white shell on the coastline, its streamlined shape echoing the ever-changing movement of the ocean. The cultural and arts center is conceived as a unified steel frame structure, with a white aluminum facade and a wooden framework extending to the rear, forming a vast cantilevered structure that creates an enclosed space at the entrance. The building’s edges gently lift off the ground, seemingly defying gravity with no visible support. The smooth contours of the building enclose a public courtyard, with a skylight at the top symbolizing the connection between heaven and earth.

The facade extends horizontally along the building's form, integrating biomimetic concepts to create natural, flowing curves. On the side facing the sea, large transparent glass panels maximize the panoramic views, revealing the expansive vistas of both the second and first floors. These glass surfaces showcase crystal-clear transparency and the soft, warm qualities of jade.

Sunlight filters through the translucent glass, creating a bright, soft interplay of light and shadow indoors. The reflection of light generates a unique sensory experience. Visitors can access the entrance via scenic trails, leading them to an island where they can enjoy sweeping views of the surroundings. The undulating roof design of the building offers different appearances from various angles, embodying a perfect fusion of biomimicry and architectural design.
