The idea reimagines an abandoned urban gas station, once a symbol of automobiles, pollution, and transience as a vibrant community center infused with life and connection. The existing canopy, which once sheltered cars in constant motion, is transformed into a generous shaded plaza where neighbors gather for markets, performances, and shared celebrations.

From “Gas Station” to a “Guest Station” The station house, formerly transactional and utilitarian, evolves into a flexible “city living room”, a welcoming space for workshops, conversations, and the simple joy of being together.

Landscaping softens the site’s hard edges, replacing asphalt with gardens, trees, and seating that invite people to pause, connect, and linger. Traces of the original structure are preserved, honoring the memory of the place while signaling its renewal. Through this transformation, a once forgotten relic becomes a civic anchor: a space that embodies resilience, reinvention, and the promise of community
