The project is located in the central-southern part of Tantou Village, Lutan Town, Wuyi County, adjacent to the village access road. It is on the south side of the existing traditional building cluster in the village and close to Wuyi County Tantou Wetland Park. The natural ecological environment is excellent, the overall orientation faces southeast, the location is exceptional, and the landscape views are open. The total site area of the project is approximately 848.75 square meters, with a building area of 622 square meters.

On the left side of the site are self-built houses by villagers, while the right side features the existing ancient building cluster in the village, which is quaint and serves as a continuation of the local historical context. At the same time, the project faces Wuyi County Tantou Wetland Park, a national AAA-level scenic area with beautiful scenery and excellent landscape views. It is also adjacent to the village access road, making it an important node for showcasing the village's image. The core challenge of the project is how to harmonize with the existing ancient building cluster, blending styles while meeting the requirements of revitalizing the ancient village, with the capability to accommodate visitors and display the village's traditional charm.

The design inspiration is drawn from the gracefully undulating rooflines of ancient buildings and extended in the design. By extracting and translating the structure, spatial semantics, and cultural symbols of traditional buildings, an innovative design that complies with traditional spatial characteristics is realized. Through dividing and recombining large spatial blocks to create interspersed functional areas, it achieves a continuous large space while incorporating design elements that echo the ancient village. This makes the building itself a continuation of tradition and a landmark of the ancient village for future innovation.
