Jamsugyo is destined to be the city’s front yard. It is a place perfectly poised to embrace the Han River, yet it has yet to become a space where people truly feel invited to sit and stay. We see Jamsugyo not just as a bridge, but as a vessel for endless urban possibilities.

Standing as a plaza upon the water, we explored the "singularity" of this location. We aim to transform the river from a distant, sometimes threatening force of nature into a friendly, sensory companion. We asked ourselves: what kind of new sensations can Jamsugyo offer?

A successful public space mirrors the balance found in nature—providing both vast openness for community and hidden nooks for "exclusively, secretly" shared moments. Our design manifests this contrast through a dual-layered structure: an upper deck that opens to the sky and a lower sanctuary that offers a place to hide away and breathe.
