Located halfway up a hillside, the residence is surrounded by dense trees and a serene atmosphere, where the noise of the city naturally dissolves into greenery. The family of three sought a home that could genuinely soothe the mind, prompting the designer to adopt the concept of a “quiet place.”

The layout was completely reimagined from its original condition, directing views toward the expansive natural scenery and using minimalist strokes to form the spatial narrative. Wood tones, translucent drapery, and soft lighting create an airy, forest-like clarity throughout the home.

Upon entering, the eye is immediately drawn to the TV wall, where a mix of custom woodwork and system cabinetry forms clean, refined cuts, avoiding the visual heaviness typical of large volumes. Upper and lower lighting strips shape a soft glow, while a black display cabinet on the side anchors the composition, balancing the interplay of white and wood.

Minimalism serves as the design language, allowing scenery and light to become the true protagonists. Behind the bedroom, the dressing area is enclosed with fluted glass, creating a semi-transparent boundary. With sheer white curtains gently cascading, the refracted light dances across the floor, natural daylight is filtered, scattered, and pushed inward like a faint mist quietly settling into the space.

The social area is unified through gentle hues, enabling the greenery outside the windows to take center stage. As sunlight glides from the hillside into the living room, each wood grain resembles a fine stroke of time. The herringbone-patterned flooring extends along the line of sight, visually widening the room.

In the kitchen, no overhead cabinets were used; instead, iron shelving forms an open, breathable composition. A dedicated nook was also crafted for the pet—hidden within the guest room, offering a sense of shared companionship woven subtly into daily life.
