As fishing harbors gradually transform into tourist destinations, how can the local memories embedded in fishing life be preserved?
Located in Nanliao Fishing Harbor in Hsinchu, Taiwan, this project introduces the concept of “confluence,” integrating flows of people, water, and fishing activities to reconnect the harbor with its surrounding environment.
While local culture continues to evolve, its essence remains rooted in the land and the sea. The project seeks to reveal and sustain the harbor’s stories within a contemporary spatial framework.
