Located at the northern gateway to the masterplan, the Tashkent Exhibition Centre forms a new urban landmark connecting Tashkent with New Tashkent. The approximately 6,000 sqm mixed-use development combines a major exhibition venue with flexible office space, creating a civic destination that celebrates the city’s culture, identity and progress. The design draws on Uzbek ceremonial architecture through its materials, colours, textures and patterns. A composition of circular and square geometries creates flexible event spaces arranged around an internal garden, strengthening the relationship between architecture and nature. The defining terracotta concrete roof references Uzbekistan’s celebrated arched structures, functioning simultaneously as roof, façade and cultural canvas. Integrated with landscaped public spaces, green areas and the adjacent retail village, the proposal provides a grounded yet forward-looking gateway for Tashkent.
