Neverland of Manuscripts imagines London in 2095, where rising sea levels have submerged much of the city and transformed the way people inhabit, preserve and remember their environment. In a future dominated by digital information, the project proposes an immersive archive dedicated to protecting physical manuscripts and reconnecting people with the written word.
The interior operates as both a preservation system and a spatial narrative. Manuscripts are stored, transported and retrieved through automated mechanisms, while visitors journey through atmospheric spaces shaped by water, machinery and memory. By turning archival preservation into a public experience, the project explores how interior design can respond to environmental change while safeguarding cultural knowledge. It asks what physical artefacts might mean in an increasingly virtual world and how architecture can keep collective memory alive.
