Baffi Restaurante

In a landscape in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, we were invited to design a set of buildings intended to house various infrastructures along the developing park. Among these structures, the Baffi Restaurant stands out, aiming to provide park visitors with a memorable gastronomic experience, complemented by a breathtaking view.



The challenge lies in conceiving architecture that further enhances the natural beauty of the environment. The geographical terrain presents a harmonious blend of day and night: it is neither a monotonous and predictable plain, nor an excessively rugged terrain that could hinder occupation. Instead, it is a gentle territory, with subtle elevations and declines practically imperceptible when walking, yet providing a visually rich and ever-changing landscape along the way.



Its design follows an approach that seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape, resembling a cave that blends with the surroundings. Its concave-convex structure has been carefully conceived to blend into the surrounding landscape, thus demonstrating that it does not compete with nature but rather integrates with it in a respectful and unobtrusive manner.
