The "Dalian Science and Technology Culture Center" project is a comprehensive cultural complex encompassing various facilities like an oceanarium, art gallery, cultural center, intangible cultural heritage exhibition center, planetarium, distribution center, science and technology museum, public transportation hub, and an ocean park. This ambitious development aims to enrich Dalian's cultural landscape significantly.

Located at the northeast end of the Dalian Donggang Business District, the site is inspired by Dalian’s unique coastal reef and beach landscape, combining natural elements like mountains, seas, and parks. The design concept of "waves hitting reefs" creates organic lines that wrap around the reefs, offering a dynamic and profound urban aesthetic. The master plan features five plots and an ocean park, with seamless integration between landscape corridors and pedestrian walkways. These pathways connect different venues, creating a fluid, open, and diverse spatial experience.

The project is set to become a landmark in the Donggang Business District, featuring a Ferris wheel by the sea as its focal point. The overall design conveys a sense of lightness and agility, contributing to Dalian’s romantic atmosphere, known as the “Pearl of the North,” and enhancing the “Sea Tour Dalian” coastal interface. Iconic elements like the aquarium resemble a massive reef rising from the water, while the planetarium is encircled by waves, showcasing a harmonious blend of natural forms.

The architectural language emphasizes contrasts, such as "circle" versus "square," creating a sense of spatial variation and distinct personality. The wave-like facade generates rich indoor and outdoor spaces, offering unexpected experiences to visitors. The aim is to provide an immersive experience, inviting the public on a leisurely, surreal journey embedded within the city.
