Perched above Grand Central Terminal, this transformation of the Vanderbilt Tennis Club offers an immersive experience where sport and design converge beneath the starry night sky of New York City. Inspired by Grand Central’s celestial mural, the court becomes a luminous stage, enveloped in NYC Midnight Blue, evoking the city's rhythm from dusk to dawn. The vaulted ceiling mirrors the constellations of the terminal’s iconic artwork, making every match feel like playing under the stars. Subtle cosmic lighting and brass accents enhance the historic Beaux-Arts architecture, seamlessly blending the past with a bold 80s New Decor aesthetic.
New York is a city in perpetual motion, shifting from the golden glow of sunrise to the electric energy of nightlife. This transformation embraces that rhythm through two distinct spaces. The Sunrise Lounge is a refined retreat bathed in soft morning light, featuring oak, brass, and ambient illumination that echoes the city’s skyline at dawn. On the other end, The Sunset Bar pulses with energy, its neon-infused ambiance, mirrored surfaces, and backlit glass capturing the vibrant glow of New York after dark. Together, these spaces seamlessly frame the court, creating a private club where sport, social connection, and urban luxury intersect.
Drawing from Art Deco’s opulence and the bold energy of 80s New Decor, the interiors feature rich velvets, smoked glass, polished brass, and geometric lighting inspired by astronomical instruments. This fusion of past and future transforms the space into more than a tennis court—it becomes an exclusive urban retreat, a destination where players, creatives, and visionaries experience the vibrancy of New York City through sport, design, and celestial inspiration.
