The Hangzhou Bay Intelligent & Sci-Tech Park, located in Shangyu District, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, is a modern technology park that integrates innovation and intelligence. The project aims to inspire confidence and optimism among industrial park operators and investors by demonstrating how old buildings can be revitalized through sustainable reuse. At the same time, it creates a green, healthy, and comfortable environment for park users, including corporate employees and visitors. From fresh indoor air and pleasant outdoor landscapes to convenient eco-friendly transportation, every aspect is designed to enhance the appeal of the park. The goal is to foster a strong sense of connection and anticipation for the future of Hangzhou Bay’s smart technology hub. The facade design emphasizes simplicity and clarity, reflecting the park’s bold and innovative spirit. A primary palette of white and light gray coatings enhances the distinct identity of Hangzhou Bay Intelligent & Sci-Tech Park, while subtle touches of coffee tones add warmth and prevent monotony. Such combination creates a clean, elegant, and layered visual effect. At the same time, the design carefully considers the functional needs of industrial spaces. The use of modern, geometric facades captures a contemporary spirit, making the park an attractive destination for manufacturing enterprises. Outdoor units for air conditioning and other external equipment are strategically placed to minimize their impact on the building’s facade, ensuring a balance between aesthetics and functionality. Additionally, the design takes into account local climate conditions such as sunlight exposure and prevailing wind directions. To maximize natural lighting and reduce reliance on artificial illumination, the primary building facades are oriented north-south. Such layout also enhances natural ventilation, allowing cool southeast breezes to flow through in summer while shielding against cold northwest winds in winter, ultimately reducing the energy consumption of the HVAC system.
