The new Contemporary Art Center features an indoor gallery, artist studio, performance hall, and outdoor spaces, including an open-air theater, swimming pool, and sculpture park. An independent reception hall connects to all areas.

Art Center

Housed in BVH’s distinctive post-war structure, the renovated center includes galleries and independent art residencies, blending public and private spaces. The design enhances both artistic appreciation and spatial experience, creating a unique interplay of structure and time.

Open-Air Theater

Brise Vent, a landmark at the port, retains its historical charm while engaging with modern urban culture. A curved runway links the outdoor theater to an indoor sunken stage, enriching public activities.

Harbor Beach

Once an isolated, rusting megastructure, BVH now integrates port water features with its original concrete form. A former wind tunnel is transformed into a sunken courtyard with three pools. The revitalized space, merging landscape and architecture, serves as Le Havre’s new cultural hub.

City & Community

Originally a port, Le Havre has evolved alongside maritime trade. As commerce expanded, so did its infrastructure, adapting to technological progress and the city’s growing role in global trade.

We cherish the environment and community, blending nature and architecture until they feel inseparable—existing both inside and out.

“It’s a paradox: a vast structure that exudes simplicity and solidity, yet reveals intricate depth, drawing people into a timeless realm.”
