Checkpoint serves as a temporary refuge for rock climbers—a modular shelter functioning as a “checkpoint” along extended climbing routes. In long-range expeditions, climbers often rest overnight in hammocks or tents suspended from anchors on the rock face. However, these systems are highly susceptible to failure due to strong winds, unstable anchor points, or accidental movements during sleep.
Addressing the unpredictability of such conditions, Checkpoint introduces a portable, secure shelter that provides climbers with a stable environment to pause, rest, and recover within otherwise hazardous vertical terrains.
