Inspired by the fusion of urban industrial aesthetics and contemporary needs, this project reconfigures spatial order within a limited scale. By focusing on clear structure, material authenticity, and functional integration, the design creates a living environment that is both rational and warm.
This 68-square-meter new build residence features a flexible 2+1 bedroom, 2-living, and 2-bathroom layout designed to optimize efficiency and quality in an otherwise compact home. The core strategy balances public and private zones with fluid circulation. An open-plan living, dining, and study area ensures visual continuity, while an integrated book wall and purposeful partitions clearly define private realms, balancing social activity with the need for tranquility.
Material selection and construction methods are also integral to the overall design strategy. Fair-faced concrete paint and raw textures highlight the industrial vibe, while precise fit-out execution and modular integration ensure consistency and durability. By using low-pollution, low-formaldehyde, and recyclable materials, the design reduces environmental impact from the source, embodying a sustainable mindset.
Ultimately, the project lands softer on the earth by selecting coatings and media of Green Building Material standards. By replacing conventional options with low-pollution and recyclable alternatives, the approach goes beyond form and beauty, rather focusing on values of well-being, safety, and sustainability for modern life.
