The inspiration comes from the view of the shared area. Stable stone walls and steel flooring are reminiscent of block design. The designer continues the atmosphere of the residential building's shared area with the combination of grand double doors and floor-to-ceiling windows with sea views. Layers of materials were used to create a calm and modern space. The owner wanted the space to retain the original ceiling heights and to incorporate feng shui into the design. The designer adapted the layout of the space to provide a bright, clean, and spacious color palette, successfully meeting the owner's desire for family cohesion and a modern quality of life.

The designers used gray-washed wood veneer and large slab tiles to create a low-key luxury. The same beige slab tiles are used on the wall and the kitchen island of the dining room to unify the overall color palette, revealing a modern yet elegant look. Then the ceiling reflects the light and creates a sense of extension in the space. These materials emphasize modernity, and the designer further adds layers and depth to the space through the contrast between the materials.

For the Chinese, the shrine is the place where ancestors and gods are enshrined in the family, representing the family's blessing and inheritance. Its design should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also in line with the principles of Feng Shui for good luck. The designer blended traditional culture with modern design elements and arranged it between the entrance and the living room. Independent block design to achieve the effect of zoning but does not show oppression. The door handle of the block is made of the round handle carved by the carpentry master, and when opening and closing the door, the round shape design is presented, symbolizing roundness and harmony.
