Grass Dragon Market is a comprehensive activity space that integrates a cultural and creative market, an agricultural product market, and a distinctive cultural attraction. Inspired by the "Muchuan Grass Dragon", a folk art in Muchuan County, Leshan City, southwest China's Sichuan Province as well as a national-level intangible cultural heritage in China, this market embodies the dragon's essence through a "bamboo-bodied dragon" form, presenting a dynamic and translucent appearance that conveys the spirit, ingenuity, wonder, and vitality of the Grass Dragon. This creates a local market rich in artistic flair.



The main structure of the project features lifelike bamboo joints, which are made from steel pipes of varying diameters shaped through a specialized process of double-curve bending. This achieves an artistic interpretation of bamboo while ensuring corrosion resistance and load-bearing capacity. The external canopy applies abstract dragon-scale elements, with its panels using laminate molds to craft dragon-scale-like patterns on both inner and outer surfaces. These dragon-scale-veneered panels are welded to the bamboo joints in varying sizes, angles, and shapes. The whole market is designed based on applied scientific testing in ergonomics, materials science, and other interdisciplinary fields to ensure safety.



Additionally, the dragon's head is adorned with acrylic 3D characters and the dragon tail features a plaque made from local bamboo craft, accented by Artistic pendant lights and LED strips to create a classical yet modern aesthetic. This market spans 50.515 meters in length, 9.939 meters in width, and 8.274 meters in height, covering a total area of 502 square meters.
